Recently I made a day trip to got to Provincetown. My friend/mentor/former manager Jon Goode called me up and asked if I would consider coming out to the Cape and take some pictures of his new listing he had on Shank Painter Road. It, was a no-brainer as well as a new adventure since I usually take photos in the Boston area. I took the ferry on a foggy day and made my trek out to see some new homes and photograph something different that doesn’t exist in the downtown Boston area.
In Boston, 1.2 Million can get you a really nice lower Duplex in the South End or about 1100-1500sf in the Back Bay, but in Provincetown, it gets you your very own oasis on conservation land surrounded by birds and nature. I don’t know P-town well, but Shank Painter Rd. seems to be a main street and you would never know this amazing land sits right behind this home.
The weather that day was pretty bad, but the skies cleared up for about 15 min and I was lucky to snap a few good ones. I had a great time going here and can’t wait to go back and see some more homes. Below are the pics of the property and you can see the formal listing here.

Ever wonder what the views are from the Ritz? There are several different views depending in which tower you are in. 1 and 2 Avery are the buildings that have the views, 3 Avery just doesn’t go high enough (just 9 floors). If you get high enough, there are amazing views of the Commons, the Charles, the financial district and Boston Harbor. In my experience, views don’t really get good till the 18th floor because thats when you start to clear the other buildings, but you still end up having more views of rooftops than the city unless you go above 20 floors. I was recently in a unit on the 28th floor and snapped this shot. Views of Back Bay, the Charles, the Common’s are just amazing. This was right after a good storm front came through. Check it out.

Recently I went out to take photos for my company to shoot the Grand View Country Club which just went on the market for sale. I’m not too familiar with the golf market, but I doubt these type of opportunities come up that often. Here is the listing description:

Great Loft in the Leather District. It has a really open floor plan is an enormous 1 bed. This was an old converted “fur storage” building and it has so many cool details. the front door is an old vault door and the ceilings are vaulted brick almost throughout.

Yesterday I drove out to Newton to shoot a house that is a total “fixer upper”. The last renovation looks like it was the 1950’s but still, I needed to show that it has potential and that the “bones”are good. The one thing buyers need to know by the photos, is that the property is worth checking out even though the home is a “gut job” and sold “as is”. Real Estate Agents think hiring a photographer for this type of property is a waste of money, but seriously, it can help!! I looked at MLS and noticed this particular listing has been listed 3 times before by other agents, but nobody took the time to get professional photography.

Here are the ones I took for the listing. I only took 5 because these were the only rooms that were shot worthy. They aren’t award winning interior shots, nor will they go into my personal portfolio, but I think they make a world of difference.
