Located on West Side of South Boston. It is a 1080sf 2 bed/2 bath with all the bells and whistles. Completed in 2006 . The kitchen has sleek dark cabinets, stainless appliances, granite countertops and a wine fridge as well. The floor plan is nice and open and there is great space to have a large living area as well as a separate dining area. There are 2 full baths with 1 of them en-suite to the master. There is a rear deck off of the 2nd bedroom and a private roof deck that has sprawling city views that are unsurpassed. The unit also has speakers throughout the unit, Central heat and A/C, W/D in the unit, and 2 gas fireplaces. 1 private off street parking is also included as well as private deeded storage in the basement.
Many people who move into the city choose street parking. Lets face it, not every condo or apartment is going to come with parking. Many people also don’t want to rent out a 200-300 parking spot in an alley or walk 5 blocks to the nearest garage for $350 a month for 24 hr parking. Hence, its time to chose the option of a free parking parking permit issued by the city. Buyers and renters always ask me how to obtain a parking permit. Below are the items required by the city of Boston. This was the cityofboston.com’s list of what is needed as of April 1, 2011
……………………………
“In order to obtain a new Resident Parking Permit, residents must not have any outstanding parking tickets.
Changing your license plates
The registration number noted on the Resident Parking Permit must correspond with the registration number of the car to which the permit is affixed. If for any reason you receive new license plates for your vehicle, you should immediately obtain a new permit as well.
Where to Go:

The Resident Parking Permit is designed to invalidate itself if removed from the surface to which it was originally applied. Therefore, if you change vehicles you should remove the permit from your old vehicle and immediately obtain a new permit for your new vehicle.

Here is a video that showcases the rental building called “One Back Bay.” located on the corner of Clarendon and Stuart. This building was developed about 4 years ago and is connected to the “Clarendon” which is the condominium part of this development. many confuse and combine the two, but they have separate entrances and different concierges. The rentals are located on the first 14 floors. The pricing here is expensive and has risen steadily since it opened.
I went to a broker event here last summer and this place was beyond extravagant. Is it 15.5 million extravagant? I’m not sure. Check out the MLS listing.
We're sorry, but we couldn't find MLS # 71348651 in our database. This property may be a new listing or possibly taken off the market. Please check back again.
Not your average walk to work today. Looked like a multiple alarm fire on the first block of Commonwealth Avenue on the odd side of the street. I didn’t see any flames, just a bunch of smoke so hopefully all the trucks were more precautionary. I hope everyone is ok, but the 4th and 5th floors look to be a total mess. I believe the fire was located at 17 Commonwealth Avenue.
Condo Quality 2 Bed in the Heart of the City. Steps from everything Back Bay and the South End. Great light and great open living floor plan. This apartment features a renovated Kitchen with Stainless steel appliances, Washer Dryer in unit and Hardwood Floors. Utilities not included.
Was On Twitter today (as usual) and noticed I was mentioned as a “top 100 twitter user in Boston”.
Not sure what metrics were used here, but I’ll take it! There are some pretty popular users in the top 100, so i’m pretty excited to start making some lists. The entire list can be seen on Evan Carmichaels Website here. I really wasn’t aware of this site, but according to Alexa.com, his rank is 11,930 globally so thats pretty legit if you ask me. He writes an entrepreneurial blog and has a big focus on social media. Big thanks to Evan and be sure to follow me at @Homes_Boston on Twitter.
I usually don’t get 2 bedroom listings in this price point but this could be a great starter apt in the South End. It’s also quite close to the Boston Medical Center and would be a good option for medical students moving to the area. This apt has been recently renovated. Brand new appliances in kitchen and new granite countertops, hardwood floors throughout, full parking included. Pets are possible
I somehow came across this on Twitter yesterday. I have to say that this video did take a lot of effort and this guy really is a real estate agent. I wonder if he saw an uptick in business after making this? I’m thinking maybe not, but I’m really glad he made this.
And no, I will not be making my version any time soon.
I took some photos the other day for a new listing on Shawmut Avenue for a new 1 Bed listing in the South End. I though it was pretty fitting since its also on a small private way called Briggs Place. I have to say, I was pretty upset I didn’t have a few million in my pocket to buy the whole building a few years ago when it was being sold as a shell. Oh Well.
Here are the stats.
1 Bed, Brand New, 525sf, Central Heat Central AC, Hardwoods upstairs, high end kitchen, tons of light. MArch 1 $2600
